Subsequent Visits
Successful physical therapy is accomplished over time—it takes time for your body to heal. Keep in mind that your goals may be reached sooner with your full, continuing participation, at the clinic and at home.
- On your follow up visits you will work closely with your therapist who will provide direct treatment of your condition. He /she will monitor your progress with each visit and advance your course of treatment as appropriate.
- It is important to finish your prescribed number of visits in order to allow your condition to heal. Your rehabilitation program should progress to the point where you have the necessary tools to minimize the risk of reoccurrence or other secondary problems.
- Your therapist will re-evaluate you and send progress reports to your doctor every four to six visits.
- The number of subsequent visits you need will be determined either by the doctor’s prescription or the therapist’s recommendation.
Please remember to bring—
