It's Time to Regain Control

Do you experience loss of bladder control when laughing, coughing or exercising? These are just a few symptoms of pelvic floor disorders.

Comprehensive Physical Therapy Center is helping patients with pelvic floor disorders including:

  • Loss of bladder control
  • Chronic pelvic pain
  • Painful intercourse
  • Pre and post partum pain

Incontinence and other pelvic floor disorders affect 10 to 11 million people of all ages. Although women are twice as likely to present with pelvic floor disorders, men are also affected. Our staff has extensive training in treating these disorders and we are ready to help you.

What is involved in the treatment of pelvic floor disorders?

Our role as physical therapists is to examine how your joints and muscles are working. We need to assess how much control you have in relaxing and contracting your muscles and whether you have areas that are painful or weak. We will discuss how Physical Therapy may help you and design a program that will address your individual needs. The course of treatment is usually 4-6 weeks long and involves one to two treatments per week. Treatment for pelvic floor disorders is typically painless and effective. Let us help you regain control.
